We’ve been telling stories for years. Are you sitting comfortably?

We’re Good Relations – a leading PR and brand communications agency who believe good business matters. We specialise in what we call ‘Contagious truthtelling’ – helping brands discover their most powerful ‘truths’ and making them contagious. We believe truths made contagious have the power to change everything. We’re recognised for our ability to develop communications approaches that bring about tangible change. And we’re down-to-earth, honest and accountable in a way we think you’ll find refreshing.

We are consuming more editorial content than ever before, whether it’s 2,500 words, 140 characters or a 15 second video clip. Comment, opinion and third party endorsement has never been so integral to every story. Our Consumer PR team are tasked with connecting brands and their products and services with their consumers through this multi-channel editorial filter.

Reputation is everything. At Good Relations we help brands and organisations such as Airbus, TalkTalk and Weetabix maintain theirs by keeping them front of mind and relevant. For us it’s all about story telling. If we inspire and influence their stakeholders by what we say and do, we can shape, protect and harness their reputations while building relationships that last.

Successful business-to-business communication that feels more human-to-human is what really creates competitive advantage. It drives understanding, trust and respect, and most importantly, inspires advocacy. Our mix of skills, experience and capability means it’s an advantage we can build and maintain for our clients.

Public Affairs

Our public affairs team helps clients develop a truly multi-stakeholder approach towards their corporate communications. We understand the costs many businesses now see added to their bottom line are the result of changing government policies and regulations. The policy landscape can be fluid and corporate life is often open to intense public scrutiny. Our job is to overcome these barriers by helping clients build open relationships with all of their stakeholders in government, parliament, the devolved administrations and influencing organisations.

Health & Wellbeing

The complexities of the Health & Wellbeing sector is something in which our team are experts. We understand how to create balanced, reliable and scientifically accurate integrated PR communications for consumer, B2B and corporate healthcare brands. In doing so, we help improve understanding among patients, their families and healthcare professionals. Over the years we’ve worked on government health awareness campaigns, created product launches spanning OTC medicines and medical devices, and raised awareness of patient advocacy groups.

Consumer Tech

We combine brand planning, consumer insight and the latest digital innovations to help consumer tech clients understand, navigate and connect with the ever-changing world.  We work with gaming companies, handset manufacturers, mobile networks, IPTV platforms, broadcasters and Internet Service Providers.  Our award-winning team runs media relations, digital engagement, stakeholder management, reviews programmes and crisis & issues support for companies in the UK and internationally.

Issues and crisis management is all about ensuring organisations and their people can prepare for, respond to and recover from potentially critical events. From initial risk analysis, simulation exercises and media training, through to 24/7 press office support and post-event audits, we advise clients at every stage of the process, steering them through a crisis. Across the team we have experience in protecting the reputations of large multinational companies. We’ve covered product recalls, IT failures, scandals, boycotts, and attacks on specific companies and brands.

Digital & Social Media

The communications industry is in a period profound change; innovation is all around us. Rapidly changing technology, new social platforms, smartphones and tablets and empowered consumers means business as usual doesn’t cut it anymore – it’s time for business as unusual. The Good Relations innovation team and our own in-house research and development unit, combine creativity with the latest technology platforms to help brands solve challenges in this new real-time era.

Ideas get brands noticed, but execution can really bring the idea to life and make people warm to the brand. Often it’s the simplicity of the message, effortless functionality and captivating imagery that sells the idea. As storytellers, we cater for our clients’ design needs with a best-in-class, in-house team. From infographics, flyers, pop-ups and marketing collaterals, to logos, corporate identities and brand guidelines, we’ve helped brands stand out, engage audiences and capture loyalty.

Richard Moss

Chief Executive Officer

Richard began his career in FMCG marketing and was responsible for some of the UK’s best-loved brands including Andrex, Carlsberg and Robinsons Squash. Since moving into PR some 14 years ago, he has worked globally for organisations including Airbus, DuPont, Diageo, Procter & Gamble and Speedo International. His campaigns include the Speedo Sharksuit, Lycra Wonderbum and the Airbus Concept Plane. With a track record of success in both the consumer and corporate fields, he has pioneered advocacy programmes, creating global movements and award-winning results. At the weekends Richard likes to ride his gleaming red VFR800 sports bike and that’s when he’s not skydiving with the Red Devils.

Annie Fossey

Annie was CEO of Good Relations for 12 years before becoming Chair in 2008. Her experience spans over 30 years, having orchestrated campaigns for leading brands such as Levis, Sheaffer, Yardley Cosmetics, L’Oreal, Royal Doulton Tableware, Russell Hobbs, Nescafé, The Ideal Home Show and the prestigious Royal Albert Hall. She also led the team which created the Pantene Beauty Awards and was behind Tesco’s Computers for Schools programme, widely acclaimed as one of the most successful CSR/consumer campaigns ever. Ann is a Fellow of the Institute of Public Relations and a member of both the Marketing Society and the PRCA Council. And one last thing, Annie used to be a go go dancer in Majorca  - not exactly what you’d expect from the chair.

Robert Anderson

Director, Digital, Social Media and Innovation

Robert leads the innovation team – our in-house research and development unit. He is responsible for digital and social media, creative technology and developing new ways of working across Good Relations. His cross-sector experience spans clients including Waitrose, SAB Miller, Airbus, P&G, Microsoft, GlaxoSmithKline and The United Nations. His work has won a Cannes Lion, D&AD pencil and SABRE, plus a CIPR award for digital measurement and evaluation. Robert was formerly a television news producer covering stories at home and abroad for Sky News, NBC/CNBC and Reuters, and was a founding member of Sky’s online business unit and not many people know this, he once did Bono’s makeup – but for some reason hasn’t been asked back yet.

Kelly Blaney

Director, Health & Wellbeing

Kelly heads up the health & wellbeing team at Good Relations.  With some 14 years of experience working in healthcare communications, Kelly is used to communicating sometimes complicated health messages to professionals and patients alike, simplifying the science so that consumers ‘get it’. She has done this successfully for a wide variety of clients spanning POMs, OTC medicines, VMS and medical devices.  Kelly has had a little secret for the past year, she’s been having intensive singing hypnotherapy and now she’s a karaoke queen!

Neil Bayley

Director, Corporate

Neil has over 15 years’ experience helping organisations tackle corporate reputation, brand and product challenges. He supports clients with expertise in strategic communications planning, campaign and media management, thought leadership, B2B marketing, crisis and issues management, employee engagement and corporate social responsibility. He has broad sector experience working with clients such as BT, HP, Tyco, Maersk, Royal Mail, Braun, General Mills, Toyota, Dun & Bradstreet and the Royal Mint. Neil is also an experienced executive communications coach, regularly providing media and presentations skills training for leaders.  Neil is also practically a blue blood, he’s related to Fulke Greville, the first Earl of Warwick…..which means his family home was once a castle. Apparently there was too much dusting, so they gave it up.

Zoe Ensor

Director, Regional

A former journalist, Zoe has more than 20 years’ front-line marketing communications experience developing strategy, managing crisis, building brands and delivering award-winning campaigns. She has worked for a wide range of blue chip companies and her expertise spans both consumer brands and business-to-business communications. During her career she has headed up the communications team for Manchester Airports Group and been Director of Marketing for Manchester City Region’s inward investment agency. Her client experience includes Airtours, Evian, Guinness, Marks & Spencer, Tesco, Camelot, Portmeirion, Co-operative Energy and the Duchy of Lancaster.

Oliver Dove

Executive Creative Director

A graduate from the famous Watford School of Advertising, Oliver has been in the business of communicating for over 20 years. He started his career in London’s ad land, worked in Australia for nine years, in television for four years and most recently has experienced working with the mighty Google/Youtube. A creative director of many years standing, his experience has crossed all mediums and business sectors. He has a belief in the power of new technologies to transform the relationships between people and brands; to create more involving and authentic stories; to fuel more meaningful multi-way conversations and to shift inertia-strapped behaviour. You’ll find yourself looking up to him but that’s mainly because he’s 6’4”, which came in useful when he used to row on the Thames and at Henley (once).

Not just in London
